The National Open Access Monitor for Ireland is built upon the OpenAIRE Graph, a comprehensive database of research metadata records accessible through our discovery portal, OpenAIRE EXPLORE. If you are interested in how we build the OpenAIRE Graph, you can visit the documentation section of the OpenAIRE Graph. To browse the information, simply go to the “BROWSE RESEARCH PRODUCTS” tab in the dashboard to check the metadata and data shown in the statistics. Moreover, each statistic can be downloaded as an image or data table, by clicking on the logo with the three lines at the top right of each chart.

The OpenAIRE Graph is an open resource that aggregates a collection of research data properties (metadata, links) available within the OpenAIRE Open Science infrastructure for funders, organisations, researchers, research communities, and publishers to interlink information by using a semantic graph database approach. For the Irish Monitor, we have filtered the records in OpenAIRE based on countries and other information requested by the Irish stakeholders collaborating with us in constructing the Irish OA Monitor. This information is further curated and processed to offer charts per query, as seen in the various tabs. Therefore, the National Open Access Monitor for Ireland is built upon the OpenAIRE Graph, providing metrics, statistics, and indicators based on the Graph.

You can perform the disambiguation of your organisation (de-duplicate multiple names, identify parent-child relationships) using the OpenOrgs service. Then, following the scheduled workflows of OpenAIRE's internal procedures, your edits become available in due time to the OpenAIRE Graph and all OpenAIRE's services. OpenOrgs collects and maintains all the identifiers of an organization from ROR and other data sources aggregated in the OpenAIRE Graph. In OpenOrgs, our curators can merge the organization ID records, making the curation visible in the OpenAIRE Graph.

Ensure that you have logged into OpenAIRE first using your institutional account via eduGAIN. In the rare case that your institution does not support AAI via eduGAIN, you can use any of the other options (e.g., log in via ORCID) or create an account on OpenAIRE with your institutional email. Once signed in, you can click on the activation link in the email you received. The link does not work if the invitation email and your institutional email, or the one with which you created your OpenAIRE account, differ. In that case, please email support to identify and address the issue, and if needed, send you a new link to the proper email address.

Dashboard Managers have access to the Sandbox. Primary Dashboard Managers have additional privileges, including the ability to use the OpenOrgs service, update their RPO/RFO details such as display name, logo, and short description, and invite other users to register as managers. For more information check the Dashboard Managers documentation section at the bottom of this page.

Assuming you have already been registered as a Primary Dashboard Manager, after you log in at the National Open Access Monitor for Ireland, click on the "MANAGE" button on the right of the dashboard to access the Administrator interface. From there, select "Users" from the menu on the left and you can then add Primary Dashboard Managers or Managers by inviting them via email. The email will guide the user on how to accept the invitation and connect to the dashboard.

The detailed metadata of the records (title, identifier, authors, citations, etc.) can be downloaded from the entire OpenAIRE Graph data or via subcommunities every 6 months. You can browse the records of your organisation used in the National Open Access Monitor for Ireland by selecting "BROWSE RESEARCH PRODUCTS" from the top menu. Additionally, you can download the processed data on which the chart is based by using the tooltip at the top right corner of each chart.

Of course! Simply click on "<> EMBED" at the bottom left corner of the chart, and then copy and use the iframe HTML code that is displayed. This will allow you to embed any chart onto your website.
